Louella Woodhouse, L.Ac. is owner and founder of Blue Lotus Center for Health. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, in the year 2000, earning a Masters degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (M.T.O.M.). She earned her bachelors of Science degree in Physiology and Neuroscience from University of California, San Diego and has both a California State Acupuncture license (L.Ac.) and a Diplomat of the National Board of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology (NCCAOM). She has worked in the Workers' Compensation field and is a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME).
Louella's specialties include pain management, women's health, obstetrics and infertility.
Blue Lotus, centrally located in the Banker's Hill/Hillcrest area of San Diego, creates a comfortable environment in which to receive acupuncture treatments to promote health, wellness, and prevention of disease.

I went in for an accupunture treatment with Louella for my allergies, which were acting up with the recent Santa Anas. The treatment was immediately effective. I felt the sinus pain subside before the needles were removed, and in the last 2 days, my symptoms have disappeared and I can smell again the first time in 2 months. Louella was very delicate. The placement for allergy treatment is in the face, which I had never done. But it was short and like having little cat whiskers for a brief time. This was a very comprehensive session that began with a detailed discussion on my health status. It was followed by placement of needles from head-to-toe on the front side of my body.
